Hello.

Welcome. I write about travels, life lessons, family, and the food I cook. Enjoy!

Let’s Have A Baby.

Let’s Have A Baby.

On November 2nd 2017, I got a text from Garrett that said, “I think we should have a baby”. Woah! I got so excited! But tried my best to keep it cool and not overwhelm him. We had been married for almost a year and we had briefly discussed it before. We wanted to have kids young (mainly to still be somewhat young once our kids went to college). We had some obstacles to take care of before we could started trying. I had to get off of birth control and we were warned by my gynecologist it could take some time for the birth control to get out of my system. I had to have a prenatal assessment done, where they ran some tests to make sure I was healthy enough to start trying. We didn’t want to run into a bad situation and already be pregnant. This consisted of a gynecologist visit and lots of blood work! Everything came back great and we started to get so excited.

We thought it all out and made a plan to start trying in March. The months leading up to March felt like an eternity (about 5 months). We wanted to wait until March because we had a big Europe trip planned with his family in August. If I happened to get pregnant right away, I would still be able to fly internationally and come on the trip.
So here we are patiently waiting until March to start trying to grow our family.

To be continued...
